At The Legacy Project, we believe a better future is a greener one. Aligned with our community’s efforts to make a lasting difference for generations to come, we are celebrating Pakistan’s Diamond Jubilee by planting 7,500 trees across 3 locations in the UK.
This vision is brought to life by our tree-planting partner, the National Trust; Europe’s largest conservation charity that protects and cares for spaces so that people and nature can thrive.

Why Plant a Tree?
“There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him.”

Trees are nature’s gift to mankind. Apart from their obvious and significant uses for our daily lives, studies have shown that living around more trees results in improved cognitive and psychological health by reducing stress hormone levels in the body.
They are also the building blocks on which wildlife, flora and fauna thrive. A more robust eco-system will provide greater sanctuary to wild animals during extreme weather events. Additionally, they are constantly recycling our air, removing harmful gasses and stabilizing our environment.
The climate crisis is a stark reality that will only get worse for future generations unless we come together and work towards building a greener planet. Each tree helps with carbon emissions and contributes towards building a habitat for wildlife.
